Welcome to Wings Weekly: a regular column giving you a quick recap of the week that was and the week that will be for the 11-time Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings.

Weekly Results (0-2-0):

March 23 vs St. Louis (24th ranked team of 32 teams): 4-3 Loss

Simon Edvinsson scored his first NHL goal and committed his second and third penalties of his NHL career. St. Louis stormed back with four unanswered goals after Detroit took a 2-0 lead in the first off Edvinsson’s goal and another from Walman.

March 25 at Philadelphia (26th overall): 3-0 Loss

Carter Hart stole the show with a 29-save shutout. This loss also saw the Wings go 0-7 on the power play against one of the worst teams in the NHL. Yikes.

Current Standings Update:

The Wings are ranked 25th out of 32 teams with 10 games left. Detroit has lost five of their last six games, and their final 10 games feature nine teams currently in or fighting for a playoff spot. Should make for a couple more very short Wings Weekly reports.
