During every Super Bowl, viewers crowd around their television screens to see who will win the championship game of the National Football League (NFL).
This means there are over 100 million viewers across the United States watching the Super Bowl. It also means that there is a higher chance you will be watching commercials during breaks, giving advertisers an instant boost when trying to get your attention.
That is why advertisers try to get more exposure for their products during the Super Bowl, with ad spots costing millions of dollars.
Viewers admit that they are excited about Super Bowl commercials since so much more time and effort goes into these ads. They can be heart-wrenching, funny, or just plain weird. So, in honor of Super Bowl commercials, this article will be listing a few of the best Super Bowl commercials that aired this year, and what makes them so special.

This commercial earned first place in USA TODAY’s Ad Meter competition. The Farmer’s Dog is a company that sells dog food; they claim their dog food is life-changing as it is delivered to your door and made fresh. Their ad is emotional, as it features Ava and her dog, Bear. You follow the friends in their life journey together while they make meaningful memories. The ad ends with the statement, “Nothing matters more than more years together,” (The Farmer’s Dog). You can feel their love for one another, which makes you tear up when thinking about Bear growing old.

Amazon is a company that allows you to buy almost anything and everything you need and have it delivered to your home. During the pandemic, people turned to Amazon to buy necessities they could no longer buy in stores because of a lack of stock. Similarly to The Farmer’s Dog, Amazon focused its commercial on a dog named Sawyer. His story shows a family who is finally going back out into the world after they no longer need to be on lockdown from the COVID pandemic. Sawyer starts to get lonely and destroys several items in the house. So, the family finds another puppy to bring home for Sawyer. It is heartwarming and a great solution for their family.
Tubi - “Interface Interruption”

Tubi is an American streaming service where you can watch movies and TV shows online. They decided to prank their viewers by starting their commercial with commentators Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen bringing viewers back into the game. Then a menu pops up on the screen, and it looks like someone changes the channel and opens Tubi. This interruption is trending on TikTok, as many people scrambled to find the remote to change the channel back to the game.
PopCorners - “Breaking Good”

This company sells corn chips. They pride themselves on having air-popped chips instead of fried ones with seven different flavors. What made their ad so popular was their reference to Breaking Bad, bringing in Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Raymond Cruz to recreate a scene from the show while adding comedic effect.
